"Hudson" The Percheron Horse

This is "Hudson" the Percheron horse. I love horses, especially painting them. When I was a little girl all I would draw was Disney characters and horses. As any little girl I begged my parents for one. This guy was owned by a friend of mine. He was massive, and absolutely gorgeous! So of course I asked if she wouldn't mind if I painted him! I used a combination of heavy body acrylic paints along with Venetian plasters, and metallic substrates. I always have a little piece of my heart in each of my works, but I am so happy this guy has a good home with the real Hudson's owner.
